The Triangle Project, a new trash cleanup pilot program funded by the Lucky Duck Foundation and designed and spearheaded by LDF volunteer and retired attorney Brian Trotier, compensates individuals $2 per trash bag they clean up from encampments. In its first three days, 2.5 tons of trash have been picked up and the program has been featured on national news as well as the Union-Tribune, FOX 5, NBC 7, KUSI, and more.
