COVID-19 Resources and Partners

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Following is a list of available resources and partners working tirelessly in response to COVID-19. We will update this page as more information and resources become available.

Additionally, homeless shelters and outreach teams are in need of hand sanitizer and other cleaning and disinfectant supplies. If you have any of these or would like to order some to be delivered for their use, they can be delivered directly to the Regional Task Force on the Homeless at 4699 Murphy Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92123.

And if you are interested in supporting our efforts to alleviate the suffering of homelessness during this critical time, please consider making a donation. Every dollar will be matched and will be used for the greatest and highest immediate needs.

Food Support

Feeding San Diego – https://feedingsandiego.org/coronavirus – Feeding San Diego is working diligently to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to provide food resources to every San Diegan in need. Please visit their website for a real-time list of food donation sites.

San Diego Food Bank – https://sandiegofoodbank.org/impact – The San Diego Food Bank is helping to ensure that people have access to receive food assistance during this crisis. Please visit their website for more information.

Catholic Charities – https://www.ccdsd.org/food-delivery In partnership with the Diocese of San Diego, Catholic Charities has created the Emergency Food Distribution Network to distribute food to those in need. Please visit their website for more information.

Helen Woodward Animal Center (food support for animals in need) – https://animalcenter.org/ – AniMeals coordinates individual pet food packaging and delivery to those in need and in these times that includes pet owners who are struggling with the loss of employment due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The Regional Task for on the Homeless (RTFH) – https://www.rtfhsd.org/ – RTFHSD has compiled information on the COVID-19 virus that includes guidance, info graphics, toolkits and checklists to help you prepare, respond and recover from the virus. Please visit their website for more information.

2-1-1.orghttp://211.org/services/covid19 – 2-1-1 helps connect people to many different services including food assistance, housing assistance, bill payment, and childcare services. Please visit their website for more information on how to get connected to services.

San Diego COVID Community Response Fund – https://www.sdfoundation.org/ – The San Diego Foundation, County Board of Supervisor Nathan Fletcher, and San Diego Gas & Electric formed the Fund to make grants to nonprofit organizations supporting impacted communities, particularly those that are disproportionately affected by COVID-19. Small Business Administration Disaster Loan Assistance for Businesses, Private Non-Profits, Homeowners, and Renters.  Please visit this website for more information.

Employment, Unemployment, Childcare, Reduced Work Hours, Tax Assistance and Health Resources. Per Governor Newsom: California has waived the 1-week waiting period for those unemployed or disabled as a result of Covid – 19. Please visit this website for more information.

Relief Fund for food service workers who have lost work. This fund applies to restaurant workers, delivery drivers, bartenders and anyone that receives tips. Please visit this website for more information.
