SAN DIEGO, CA – March 31, 2025: The San Diego College of Continuing Education Foundation (SDCCE) has been awarded a $689,000 commitment from the Lucky Duck Foundation in support of its transformative Pathways Program, which provides a multitude of employment training and certificate programs, paid internships, case management, access to education, and more.

Further details and expected results will be shared at a March 31 press announcement at SDCCE’s Educational Cultural Complex, where Pathways Program graduates who have benefited and overcome homelessness as a result of the program will be speaking. Other speakers include Dr. Tina M. King, President of SDCCE; Dr. Tami Foy, CEO/Executive Director of SDCCE; and Drew Moser, CEO of LDF.

San Diego College of Continuing Education is the largest and longest standing noncredit institution in the nation, to provide adult learners with free career training and classes in high paying workforce sectors; healthcare, information technology, welding, business, and more. The college’s Pathways Program is poised to have a profound impact over the next two years, having already served 99 participants and 129 affiliates, for a total of 228 students in the 2023-2024 year.

The generous $689,000 grant represents a shared commitment to empowering homeless individuals through education, supportive employment, innovative programming, and more. Leaders from both organizations as well as graduates of the program will share insights into how the Pathways Program serves as a beacon of hope for those seeking skill development, career readiness, and improved quality of life.
